SMO firmly stands with BLACK LIVES MATTER and has released a live concert recording to raise funds for BLM-Seattle King County and the Lavender Rights Project WA Black Trans Task Force, which provides much needed resources to broaden safety nets and increase avenues for justice for the Black trans community in the Seattle area. 100% of all funds go directly to these two organizations.
The live concert recording prominently features works by Black composers, and includes a recording of a powerful protest work by Darius Jones. SMO is grateful to all the musicians and composers who support the release of this fundraising album for BLM.
We believe in the eradication of systemic institutionalized racism, and the transformative power of individuals and communities coming together to fight for justice, equality, and change. There is strength in numbers. We hope you will support, share, and donate generously. Thank you very much!

ANDREW WAGGONER – QUANTUM MEMOIR
Quantum Memoir: Concertos for Violin, Piano and Guitar is now available from Bridge Records featuring soloists Michael Jinsoo Lim, violin; Gloria Cheng, piano; and Kenneth Meyer, guitar; the disc was recorded in Seattle in May of 2018, produced by Judy Sherman, with engineer David Sabee.
The three concertos are inter-related, virtuosic, highly dramatic, and emotionally wrenching. They constitute a multi-part musical diary spanning eight years, exploring multiple aspects of the sometimes fraught relationship between soloist and ensemble, and the different kinds of resonance that relationship can have in our own emotional lives. Order the disc HERE, also available on Spotify and iTunes.
